Job summary

A leading IT Solutions provider in the UK is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to enhance their growing Customer Support Function. This role involves resolving customer technical issues, collaborating across teams, and supporting large Enterprise Customers. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of experience in technical support along with strong knowledge of Office 365 and troubleshooting skills. Relevant certifications and a degree in a related field are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications preferred.
  • Experience in technical consulting or IT is preferred.

Job Description:

My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an ever-growing Customer Support Function. This client has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. Responsibilities include:

  • Owning, investigating, and resolving customer technical issues, collaborating across teams, and utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Participating in communities with peer delivery roles and sharing knowledge where appropriate.
  • Developing technical and professional skills through training to resolve customer issues.
  • Identifying potential product defects and escalating appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
  • Communicating effectively in English.
  • Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Having 3+ years of experience in technical support or a related field.
  • Exhibiting excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Possessing strong knowledge of Office 365 technology and Office setup & deployment processes.
  • Having a good understanding of Office core applications and their integration with various platforms.
  • Optional skills include networking, communication protocols, object-oriented programming, and technical literacy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):

  • Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
