Job Description:

My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This client has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The role requires the following skills:

  • Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams, and utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Participate in community forums with peer delivery roles and share knowledge where appropriate.
  • Develop technical and professional skills through training and readiness programs to resolve customer issues.
  • Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
  • Fluency in English, with effective communication skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 technology.
  • Knowledge of Office Setup & Deployment processes.
  • Proficiency with Office core applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access.
  • Understanding of Office integration with platforms such as Windows, third-party network shares/OS, mobiles, SharePoint, OneDrive.
  • Additional desirable skills include:
  • Networking skills and familiarity with protocols (FTP, HTTP, etc.).
  • Object-oriented programming experience.
  • Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):

  • Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in technical consulting or related IT fields is preferred.
