Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Milton Keynes is seeking Technician Specialists to install products in customers' homes as part of a two-person delivery crew. You will coach fellow drivers, loading deliveries with the warehouse team and ensuring safe, high-quality installations.

The role requires a heavy-lifting capable individual, with strong customer service skills and a focus on safety and product knowledge. Flexible working patterns are available with a 41-hour week over a 4-day rota.

Qualifications

• Manual C1 UK driving licence with max 6 points.
• DCPC or Driver Qualification Card required by start date; Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent verbal communication, in person and over the phone.
• Good understanding of technology.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with great customer service.
• Coach, develop and assess delivery driver colleagues and share knowledge to perform at best.
• Load the lorry with deliveries alongside the warehouse team.
• Respect customers' homes and handle issues to find the best solution.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate how they work after installation.
• Keep up to date with new products and technologies to stay effective.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
