Job summary

Sainsbury's is looking for a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers' doors with care and reliability. You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform safety checks, follow planned routes, and handle orders with warmth and clear communication.

You may also assist in-store as needed, delivering a best-in-class doorstep experience. Applicants must be 18+, hold a full UK driving licence for 12+ months with up to 6 penalty points, and have Right to Work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Be over 18 years old with a full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months and no more than 6 points.
• Complete online driving risk assessment as part of the interview.
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers on time and in good condition using a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van.
• Perform van checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and organisation.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied locations and conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and assist customers with order delivery as needed.
• Communicate with customers about delays and changes to orders.
• When not delivering, assist across the store as required.
