Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring online orders straight to customers' doorsteps with energy, warmth and care. You’ll represent the brand as the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep and drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries.

You will perform safety checks, follow planned routes, handle items up to 15kg, and communicate with customers about delays. When not delivering, you may assist in-store. A UK driving licence and Right to Work are required.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
• Will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview.
• Driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries safely.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at doorstep deliveries with friendly service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Perform van checks for roadworthiness and tidiness, secure customer shopping.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to various properties (steps, lifts, etc.).
• Communicate delays and respond to customer queries during delivery.
• Assist across the store when not delivering.
