Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to deliver groceries directly to customers' doors with care and reliability. You will operate a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, ensuring groceries arrive in excellent condition, and maintain clear communication with customers regarding timings.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, follow planned routes, and adapt to varying conditions. The role combines independent driving with teamwork in-store support and requires a flexible approach to duties.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment moving loads up to 15kg.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury's at each doorstep and provide a thoughtful, friendly delivery service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carry out vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and secure deliveries.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely through varied traffic and weather conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to properties with potential stairs, lifts or longer walks.
• Communicate clearly with customers about delays or order changes and handle queries.
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed.
