Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries straight to customers’ doorsteps with energy, warmth and care. You will operate a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, ensure timely delivery and maintain high standards of vehicle safety and shopping security.

You’ll follow planned routes, handle lifting of containers up to 15kg, and communicate any delays or changes to customers. The role requires a full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months and the right to work in

Qualifications

Over 18 and a full UK/EU driving licence held 12 months with no more than 6 points.
Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
Will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview process.
In-cab AI cameras are used to support safe driving and compliance.
Friendly and enthusiastic about helping customers and delivering the best doorstep experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver groceries door-to-door in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van on time and in good condition.
Conduct basic vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and security of shopping.
Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied locations and weather conditions.
Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to properties including steps or lifts.
Communicate with customers and keep them informed of delays or changes to orders.
Be flexible to work across stores and take on new challenges.
Thrives in a fast-paced, physical environment and can work independently or as part of a team.
