Job summary

One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary, is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead duty shifts, coordinate a team, and drive a clean, well-presented store that exceeds customer expectations.

You will actively coach staff, monitor store performance, and implement practical actions to improve service and efficiency, while ensuring safety and policy compliance. A strong customer-first attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Opening/closing the store and completing duty cover, ensuring decisions are right for customers, colleagues and safety.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager for day-to-day operational queries.
• Support the Store Manager to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
• Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well presented.
• Prioritise replenishment of products that matter to customers.
• Ensure POS and shelf edge labels reflect what good looks like.
• Manage queues in store to deliver a great shopping trip for customers.
• Coordinate colleagues to meet daily priorities and breaks around trade patterns.
• Balance time across service and replenishment areas.
• Assist in managing absence and conduct return-to-work interviews as needed.
