Job summary

One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary, is seeking a Shift Leader for our busy retail store. You will run duty shifts, coordinate a team to keep the store clean, well-presented and focused on delivering exceptional customer service.

You will coach colleagues, monitor store performance, and act as the on-site lead in the Store Manager’s absence. This role emphasises safety, efficient operations and a proactive approach to improving service and store standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail team on shift.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication.
• Ability to coach and develop colleagues on the shop floor.
• Comfortable working to store safety and loss-prevention norms.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store and organise duty cover while keeping customers and staff safe.
• Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well-presented store and great service.
• Act as the lead on duty in the Store Manager's absence for daily queries.
• Support Store Manager with events, rota planning and covering shifts as needed.
• Maintain queue management, accurate POS labeling, and stock replenishment.
• Communicate effectively with the team and keep everyone informed.
