Overview

From September 2026, we are seeking to appoint a Curriculum Leader of Computing. This is a perfect position for either an experienced Curriculum Leader or someone aspiring to the position. It is an exciting time in the department’s development because the school has become a member of the Cranmer Trust, affording the department further opportunities for collaboration and support in curriculum development and professional learning. We will provide a mentor to help with the leadership transition. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning and will be keen to develop the experience of students at Saddleworth.

Responsibilities

Applicants will:

  • Be passionate about teaching and encouraging students to foster a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.
  • Be optimistic and committed to establishing high expectations.
  • Have proven ability to raise levels of progress and attainment with all students in both key stages.
  • Be an advocate of all students feeling valued, safe and happy.
  • Value the importance of professional learning, with experience of developing the potential of other teachers as well as being committed to develop their own leadership potential.
