Job summary

A leading engineering organization in the UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver mechanical design solutions and support manufacturing processes in Stevenage. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Creo 3D CAD and have experience in various engineering domains including manufacturing and environmental testing. A strong passion for engineering excellence is essential. This is a contract role for 12 months with a competitive hourly rate offering significant opportunities for contributions.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to gain is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical design and proving activities for prime and variant products.
• Provide support to manufacturing teams and resolve production issues.
• Contribute to functional and environmental testing.
• Work with suppliers to address technical queries.
• Plan and report day-to-day activities to align with project milestones.
• Engage in requirements definition to reduce lead time and cost.
