Protocol Education is looking for passionate and creative individuals from backgrounds such as art, music, drama, performing arts, or any other creative field to join a wonderfully supportive primary special needs school in Wandsworth.

This school believes that creativity opens doors for children with additional needs. They are seeking teaching assistants who can use their artistic or creative strengths to boost engagement, adapt learning in imaginative ways, and help children access the curriculum more confidently.

No prior school experience? That’s absolutely fine! If you are enthusiastic about education, eager to learn, and comfortable working with children with special needs, the school will provide on-site training and continuous support.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting a small class of 6–8 pupils with a range of special educational needs including speech & language difficulties, mild autism, physical disabilities, and learning challenges.
  • Providing 1:1 support and small-group assistance throughout the school day.
  • Using your creative skills during lessons such as art, music, cooking, sensory play, and creative literacy/numeracy.
  • Helping deliver a tailored, pupil-centred curriculum.
  • Encouraging pupils to learn through play, expression, and hands‑on activities.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and following personalised learning plans.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
