Job Title: Cover Supervisor General Science Specialist
Location: Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible Supply
Salary: £110 £135.50 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP

Link3 Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor with a passion for all Science subjects to work across a network of secondary schools in Northamptonshire.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise lessons across the curriculum in the absence of the regular class teacher, demonstrating strong classroom management and the ability to keep students engaged
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Deliver pre-set English lessons while upholding high standards of behaviour and encouraging active participation
  • Support students with their learning and encourage engagement
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student engagement
  • Promote literacy and a love for Science through enthusiastic lesson delivery and academic support
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and passion for science (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)
  • Have some understanding across all Key Stages up to GCSE's and A'Levels
  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in education, youth work, or tutoring)
  • Confident classroom presence and the ability to manage behaviour effectively
  • Flexible, adaptable, and committed to supporting students learning
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and eligibility to work in the UK
