Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Birmingham (All Areas)

Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Dependent on experience)

Employment Type: Flexible Supply, Part‑Time, or Full‑Time

Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate, or a seasoned Supply Teacher, this role offers the perfect opportunity to work within a variety of Birmingham secondary schools while maintaining a flexible schedule that suits your lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Leadership: Independently supervising full classes of students across Birmingham's diverse secondary schools.
• Curriculum Delivery: Delivering pre-set lesson plans across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (all subjects).
• Behaviour Management: Maintaining a positive, focused, and safe learning environment using effective classroom management techniques.
• School Support: Providing additional support to Birmingham school communities, including exam invigilation and administrative tasks as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• School Experience: Previous experience working in a UK secondary school setting (or similar youth‑leadership role).
• Confidence: The ability to command a classroom and engage with Birmingham students of various backgrounds.
• Adaptability: A flexible approach to working in different educational environments across the city.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with Birmingham school staff and pupils.
• DBS: Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
