Skyline Roofing Centres Ltd in Watford is seeking a Counter Sales Assistant to deliver friendly, efficient service, build customer relationships and support branch sales.

You will advise on products, handle day-to-day sales paperwork, cooperate with suppliers and other branches, and contribute to a well-organised counter and positive customer experience. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

• Customer Focus: Knowledgeable, friendly and dependable, with a genuine focus on understanding customer requirements and ensuring the correct products are supplied.
• Sales & Initiative: Able to identify sales opportunities and use initiative to offer advice and practical solutions to customers.
• Communication: Confident building effective relationships and liaising with customers, suppliers, colleagues and other branches/departments.
• Teamwork: A reliable team player who supports colleagues and the Branch/General Manager to help the branch operate efficiently and effectively.
• Organisation & Presentation: Able to maintain a clean, tidy and efficiently merchandised counter area, while keeping shop stock clean, clearly identifiable and in good order.
• Accuracy & Procedures: Able to follow Company policies and procedures when producing paperwork associated with sales and carrying out day-to-day duties.
• Health & Safety: Committed to maintaining a tidy working environment and working in line with Health & Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Building effective relationships with customers.
• Sales Support: Identifying sales opportunities and offering advice and solutions to customers.
• Counter & Stock: Maintaining a clean and efficiently merchandised counter and stock.
• Sales Administration: Accurately producing paperwork associated with sales.
• Supplier & Branch Liaison: Liaising with suppliers and other branches/departments where necessary.
• Branch Support: Supporting the Branch/General Manager and colleagues and working as part of the team to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively.
• Stock Management: Highlighting low stocks to Branch Management where necessary and undertaking stock-taking as required.
• Health & Safety: Working within Company policy and procedures, including Health & Safety Guidelines.
