Job summary

Wolseley Group’s Plumb Centre in Castlewellan is hiring a Sales Assistant to support customers at the trade counter and handle inquiries by phone and email. You will help select products, build relationships with customers, and assist in delivering orders.

The role requires proven sales experience, excellent communication, and a full UK driving licence. It’s a full-time position with overtime during Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
• Full UK Manual Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Dealing with customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Providing excellent service, establishing strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
• Proactively seeking opportunities to grow sales within the branch, working with both existing and new customers
• Completing general warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders (which will involve some heavy lifting), organising deliveries and merchandising displays to a high standard
• Driving 3.5t van for holiday cover, delivering customer orders.
