Job summary

SIG Roofing, the UK’s leading roofing merchant, is seeking an Internal Sales Assistant to develop and maintain new sales, pro-actively target customers, and collaborate with the warehouse to ensure right products are delivered on time.

You will engage with the external sales force and credit control teams, input orders, maintain sales records, and build lasting relationships with customers. IT literacy and prior sales experience are essential; construction industry experience would be a plus.

Internal Sales Assistant

What does the role involve:

As an Internal Sales Assistant you will develop and maintain new sales which will be beneficial and profitable, you will pro-actively target new customers. It is a role that will see you collaborating closely with the warehouse team to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time. Regularly engaging with our external sales force and credit control teams, following up on all sales quotes and leads in a timely manner, record activity and utilise internal systems accurately. You’ll also input orders onto our system and maintain our sales records.

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience in a Sales-focused role
• Ability to communicate with a range of customers and colleagues, whilst building and maintaining strong relationships
• Strong customer service experience
• IT literacy
• Experience within the roofing or construction industry would be preferable
