Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency in Hounslow is seeking an experienced SEN Specialist Tutor to work 1:1 with a KS1 student diagnosed with Autism. Responsibilities include delivering tailored sessions in literacy, speech, and numeracy while adapting methods to support the student's needs. Ideal candidates will have a background in SEN education, relevant qualifications, and a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum. This part-time, temporary position offers flexible hours and a pay rate of £25-£35 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with primary-aged children with ASD and additional needs.
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and SEMH interventions.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain.

Prospero Teaching is looking for a nurturing and experienced SEN Specialist Tutor to support a KS1 student in Hounslow on a 1 : 1 basis. This student has a diagnosis of Autism (ASD) and requires tailored support in key developmental areas including literacy, speech and language, numeracy, social interaction, and SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health).

  • Deliver engaging, personalised sessions in early literacy, speech and language, and basic numeracy, aligned with the student’s developmental level.
  • Support social communication and interaction skills using visual aids, role-play, and real-life scenarios.
  • Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviours through nurturing, structured strategies.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials in line with ASD best practices and any EHCP targets.
  • Work closely with parents / carers and professionals to ensure consistent, holistic support.
  • Track progress and contribute to regular updates on the student’s development.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children with ASD and additional needs.
  • Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum, early communication strategies, and SEMH interventions.
  • Ability to engage a young learner in creative and interactive ways.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Summer GCSE Tutor – QTS Maths & English

We’re looking for qualified teachers who are passionate about helping young people feel confident, motivated, and prepared as they transition into Key Stage 4.

  • Track progress and share updates with parents or educational coordinators.
