Conveyancing Solicitor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to join a growing team in London, specialising in both residential and commercial property transactions, including bridging and short-term property finance. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to fast-paced finance transactions while also managing traditional conveyancing work such as sales, purchases, and lease extensions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, and re-mortgages.
  • Provide legal advice on bridging and short-term property finance transactions, including reviewing and drafting loan agreements, facility letters, and security documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including title investigation, company searches, and review of valuation and security documentation.
  • Work closely with lenders, brokers, borrowers, and external solicitors to facilitate fast and secure lending in property transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate key legal documents, including contracts, leases, and security agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements throughout property transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, estate agents, and third parties to ensure timely completion of transactions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in conveyancing law, ideally with both residential and commercial experience.
  • Experience or interest in bridging and short-term property finance transactions is a plus, but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of property law, legal drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent client management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
