Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant

The Opportunity

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a busy and dynamic Residential Conveyancing team based in Bradford city centre. This is a fantastic chance to support an experienced fee earner on a wide variety of property transactions, working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will play a key role in progressing residential property matters and ensuring excellent service is delivered to clients. Responsibilities will include:

  • Opening new files and managing them through to post-completion
  • Assisting with sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties
  • Drafting and issuing contracts and dealing with enquiries
  • Undertaking searches and reviewing results
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties
  • Handling incoming funds and preparing completion statements
  • Registering applications and dealing with post-completion formalities at HM Land Registry
  • Preparing monthly bills and handling administrative tasks to support the team
About You

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Ideally 2+ years' experience in residential conveyancing, with a sound understanding of the end-to-end process
  • Knowledge of sales, purchases, and post-completion procedures
  • Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Proficiency in using IT and case management systems
  • A flexible, team-oriented approach and the ability to work well in a busy, open-plan environment
