Job description

This newly created role sits within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that supports offshore developers, investors and the wider construction and installation supply chain across major international projects in offshore wind and energy transition. The position offers the chance to play a central part in tendering activity and active project delivery, providing contractual and commercial input across contract reviews, bid development and the day-to‑day administration of contractual obligations. Working closely with project and technical teams, you’ll help shape consistent tender documentation, support client discussions, monitor key deliverables and maintain effective management of change throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing contractual terms for tender submissions in line with internal procedures.
  • Attending tender review and bid meetings as the contract management focal point.
  • Carrying out holistic reviews of draft contracts and bid documentation to ensure consistency.
  • Meeting with prospective clients to agree contractual and commercial conditions.
  • Identifying lessons learned and ensure they are incorporated into tender reviews.
  • Providing feedback to tendering teams on issues encountered on active projects.
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of contractual obligations during project delivery.
  • Monitoring key client deliverables with Project Managers.
  • Identifying contractual risks and opportunities and support required actions.
  • Maintaining active management of change and ensure commercial opportunities are pursued.
  • Advising on subcontracting conditions and deviations.
  • Supporting main contract flow downs and review subcontract terms prepared by others.
  • Ensuring contractual close out is completed.
About You
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in a similar role within the energy industry.
  • Hands‑on approach with a willingness to work with a team at all levels.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject such as Law, Quantity Surveying or Business Management.
  • Comfortable negotiating and influencing in contractual discussions.
  • Able to place contractual risks in their true practical and commercial perspective.
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative working style, able to build positive relationships.
  • Responds positively to change and identifies improvements in process, cost and efficiency.
  • Interested in developing internal and external relationships.
  • Prepared to take part in industry working groups and relevant professional bodies.
