Job description
Contract Management
  • Organise / attend pre-contract meetings.
  • Prepare the contract programme, health and safety file and all other relevant documentation.
  • Liaise closely with the Clients, Principal Designers / Designers and the project team / QS.
  • Obtain additional quotations for materials and manufactured items as required.
  • Place purchase orders and joinery requisitions.
  • Schedule site deliveries of materials, equipment, joinery, skips etc.
  • Continuously monitor the level of labour on site and ensure that the budget is monitored with the Contract Surveyor
  • Attend site meetings as required by the client / clients representative.
  • Ensure that the project is completed and handed over on time and that all snagging is completed to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients, customers, members of the public, centre management etc. and understand the values of Customer Care.
Health, Safety & Welfare
  • Be aware of the purpose of the H&S Management System and the subsequent procedures introduced and their effect on the management of any Contract.
Other Duties
  • Follow all policy, procedures, rules, safe working methods etc. at all times.
  • Undertake any training as is necessary to ensure you remain competent to carry out your allocated tasks.
  • Maintain good of housekeeping at all times.
Conditions of Service

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.30pm with 1 hour lunch break. At times, depending on the requirements of the job it may be necessary to start earlier or finish later. This post holder may be required to work additional hours to ensure that projects are completed on time.

Holiday: 20 days per year plus 8 Bank Holidays and the annual Christmas shut down which is variable in length and advised once agreed by the Directors.
