A growing installations contractor in the UK seeks a Contracts Manager to lead installation teams managing residential and light commercial projects. You will have experience with window and door systems, overseeing project delivery and coordinating site teams. Contracts Manager / Head of Install / Window & Door Installations

Product Knowledge: Window and Door Systems - Residential & Commercial

Based: Warrington

Salary / Package: £35,000 - £45,000 (Experience Dependent) + Company Car + Pension.

The Company:

The company is a small but rapidly growing Window / Door and Curtain Wall design, manufacture and installation contractor based within the residential and light commercial sector. The business is looking to grow the team and would like to secure a Head of Install to manage installation teams and project manage delivery of their installs.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering various residential and light commercial building projects across the North of England.
  • Project managing installations once a project is handed over from the commercial team.
  • Reading drawings and quantifying product orders.
  • Identifying and ordering any further ancillary products, materials or infrastructure needed for the project installs.
  • Running multiple contracts at any one time, from receipt of order through to handover and completion.
  • Leading and managing Install teams for the projects under your supervision.
  • Overseeing Health & Safety and Quality on installs.
  • Reporting to the Director on progress, programme and cost control on allocated projects.
  • Ensuring close communication and coordination with customers and the team.
  • Managing your own workload and areas of responsibility.
  • The position will be mostly office based with regular site visits.
Experience Required:
  • Experience with a range of Window & Door systems across residential & commercial installations.
  • Previous experience in Site Supervision, Installations Management, Contract Management or Project Management within a Glazing & Door Supplier or Installer is a necessity.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating site install teams.
  • AutoCAD / Design experience would be beneficial.
  • Estimating experience would also be of interest.
  • Experience in negotiating successfully with suppliers.
  • You will also have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and to a high quality.
  • A high degree of initiative and a strong client interfacing skill.
  • Technical experience and knowledge; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; problem solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A good level of IT skills.
  • Happy to travel to sites based across the north of england and understand the need for flexible working hours.
  • Current SMSTS / CSCS would be ideal.
  • UK Driving Licence essential.
  • Construction site health & safety knowledge.
