Job description

The Leicestershire College is looking to recruit a Contracts & Governance Officer – Legal to join a small and friendly team led by the Contracts & Governance Manager in the Governance & Legal Services department.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts for the College’s provision, including subcontracting-in, subcontracting-out, all commercial contracts, Higher Education, International and Apprenticeship contracts.
  • Providing governance support, including clerking governor meetings.
  • Assisting with data protection, complaints and appeals.
Qualifications
  • Law degree (or GDL).
  • At least two years’ experience of legal work, including contract drafting.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • The ability to work closely with staff at all levels of the College.
