4 on 4 off Days (1x position)
4 on 4 off Nights (1x position)
Monday - Friday Days (1x position)

Location: Rainham, Essex

Requirement: Urgent Supporting Busy Production Periods

Overview

We are seeking an Electrically Biased Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide engineering support across a fast-paced Food/FMCG manufacturing site during peak operational demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
• Electrical fault finding on motors, sensors, control panels and automation equipment
• Support mechanical maintenance tasks as required
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Complete maintenance records, inspections and engineering documentation
• Work to site H&S standards, safe isolation procedures, and engineering compliance
• Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of machinery where needed

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within Food, Beverage, or FMCG manufacturing
• Strong electrical bias with mechanical competency
• Confident fault finding on industrial equipment and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds / HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of safe working practices and permit-to-work systems
• Immediate availability preferred due to urgent workload requirements
