Job summary

Yusen Logistics in Northampton seeks a Contract Manager for its Sustainable Distribution Centre. You will lead the rollout and implementation of new customer contracts, manage the financial performance, and ensure service excellence across operations, IT interfaces, and support teams.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in contract management, and a proactive approach to driving improvements while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record implementing new contracts and managing operations
• Strong knowledge of warehousing operations and modern facilities
• Experience with budgeting, cost control and commercial awareness
• Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders and maintain safety standards

Responsibilities

• New Contracts Implementation: develop rollout plans, coordinate across departments, align operations with customer requirements.
• Customer Service: build relationships, lead reviews, negotiate renewals and act as escalation point.
• Operational Control & Finance: manage P&L, ensure data accuracy, approve costs and revenues, drive cost savings.
• Team Leadership: train and mentor staff, maintain org charts and job descriptions, promote engagement.
• Health & Safety: ensure compliance, lead H&S agenda, chair monthly meetings, promote best practice.
• Continuous Improvement: drive efficiency, identify revenue opportunities and improve quality systems.
