Contract Delivery Manager – Mechanical Arboriculture

Location: Field-based, with access to Newark

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday

About the Role

Ready to step up from hands‑on arboriculture to leading project delivery? As a Contract Delivery Manager, you’ll oversee high‑quality vegetation and arboricultural projects, ensuring smooth delivery, strong client relationships, and effective team leadership. This role combines fieldwork with hybrid working – spending time on‑site when needed while enjoying the flexibility of home‑based work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Plan, coordinate, and oversee projects, managing teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, on‑time, and high‑quality delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring expectations are met and identifying opportunities for further work.
  • Business Development Support: Collaborate with the Business Development team to secure new projects and grow existing client partnerships.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, costings, and invoicing to ensure projects are profitable and compliant.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Maintain high safety standards, ensure all certifications are current, and oversee equipment maintenance.
  • Leadership: Lead, support, and develop your team, providing clear direction and day‑to‑day management.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate project data and documentation, ensuring transparency across the business.

  • NPTC Units 201, 202, and 203 (chainsaw maintenance, crosscutting, felling/process trees up to 380mm)
  • First Aid and Forestry
  • PTS & SSSTS
  • Highways Passport
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Vegetation/Arboriculture experience
  • Contract management experience
  • Operative experience
Desirable Knowledge & Skills
