Overview

Our intranet is the beating heart of internal communication at the MoJ. As a Content Producer, you'll be responsible for creating, shaping and managing content that reaches thousands of colleagues across courts, prisons, probation, and legal services. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects and stakeholders while maintaining quality. You will lead content delivery, help set the standard for clear and accessible communication, and ensure colleagues always have the information they need to do their jobs well.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead content delivery – Manage high volumes of creative, accurate and accessible content for the intranet.
  • Advise and influence – Work directly with senior leaders, business groups and comms teams to shape and deliver effective internal communications.
  • Problem-solve creatively – Respond quickly to fast-moving events, adapting content to meet urgent business needs.
  • Champion best practice – Provide guidance and training to intranet users across the MoJ, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Set the standard – Proof, edit and publish content that is engaging, accurate and aligned with corporate standards.
  • Balance priorities – Manage competing deadlines in a busy environment, always keeping sight of what matters most.

Qualifications and experience
  • A proven track record of using Content Management Systems (ideally WordPress) to deliver high-quality digital content.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects under pressure, with the confidence to push back and set realistic expectations.
  • Strong editorial judgment, with the ability to shape complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Experience in intranet or internal communications, ideally across multiple agencies or large organisations.
  • Confidence in training and mentoring others, helping colleagues improve their digital and editorial skills.
  • The ability to work independently, make high-impact decisions, and represent the MoJ intranet team at all levels.
Salary and benefits

Salary: £35,335 - £42,859. The national salary range is £35,335 - £37,847; London salary range is £40,014 - £42,859. Your salary will be dependent on base location. The Ministry of Justice contributes to a Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%.
