Consultant Paediatrician in Community Child Health

We are looking for an enthusiastic Consultant Community Paediatrician, with full GMC registration and entry onto the Specialist Register, or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, with broad training and experience in Paediatrics / Community Child Health. Applicants should have the ability to demonstrate a flexible approach and attitude to the delivery of services.

Evidence of experience and qualities in the following areas is essential:-

  • Experience in safeguarding medicals and in ADHD and Autism assessment and Management
  • Experience in ADHD and Autism assessment and Management.
  • Experience in safeguarding medicals
  • Evidence of participation in clinical audit and understanding role of audit in improving medical practice
  • Understanding of clinical risk management and clinical governance
  • Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical practice
  • Experience in departmental teaching
Main duties of the job

The Community Paediatric Service in Lincolnshire is part of a combined Children's Service provided by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The Trust is responsible for the provision of a comprehensive range of services to the local population of 680,000.

The Community Paediatric Service is part of the family health division and 9 consultants (including this post) provide a secondary care consultant led service delivered by experienced doctors trained in paediatrics and child health with specialist skills in:-

  • Child Development
  • Childhood Disabilities
  • Safeguarding Children
  • SUDIC
  • End of Life care clinical support
