Job summary

A healthcare provider in the UK is looking for an experienced Consultant Clinical Haematologist to join their Hematology team. The role involves delivering specialist outpatient and inpatient care for both malignant and non-malignant hematological conditions, supporting safe transfusion practices, and contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings. This position offers support for professional development and a commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care. Flexible working arrangements are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a full registration with the GMC to license and practice.
  • UK trained and must hold CCT or be within six months of award of CCT by interview date.
  • Broad general experience of Hematology on SpR/STr rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist inpatient and outpatient care for hematological conditions.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary meetings for complex cases.
  • Oversee laboratory investigations including blood films and bone marrow samples.
  • Support safe transfusion practice and provide clinical advice.
  • Participate in the delivery of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement.

Education

Full registration with GMC
MD/PhD/MBA
MRCP or equivalent
UK trained with CCT
