Job Summary

Join our Dermatology Team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust! We are seeking a Consultant Dermatologist to deliver high‑quality care across our sites. This is a full‑time role (10 PAs).

Main Duties

The dermatological work‑load involves the treatment of civilian and military patients. Clinics are held across satellite sites including Aldershot Centre for Health, Farnham Hospital, Fleet Hospital, Frimley Hospital and Heatherwood Hospital. Duties include general dermatology clinics, outpatient skin surgery, patch testing, ward referrals and paediatric dermatology support, contact dermatitis and psoriasis. Sessions are a mixture of fixed and flexible. A half day per month is dedicated to medical audit and teaching. Dermatology is part of an Outpatient Focus Group and attends the Skin Cancer Network and MDTs. The post does not come with on‑call commitments; however advice to wards/ED may be required. CPD maintenance is expected.

Job Responsibilities

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent
  • CCT in Dermatology (or within 6 months of achieving at the time of application) or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration
Qualifications (Desirable)
  • MD/PhD
  • Other postgraduate degree
Experience (Essential)
  • Wide clinical experience of general management principles in Dermatology
  • Able to provide expert clinical opinion on a range of dermatology problems both emergency and elective
  • Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
  • Demonstrate appropriate surgical skills for minor operation lists (excision biopsies, incisional biopsies, punch biopsies and curette)
