Location: Onshore - Ras Laffan

Industry: Major Capital Project / Infrastructure / Energy

Employment Type: Full-Time

Contract: 3 Year

Work Schedule: 6 days per week (26 days per month) / 8-10 hour days

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent (Civil & Structural) to join our team on a major infrastructure project. You will play a critical role in overseeing civil, structural, and architectural construction activities, ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project requirements.

This position requires strong technical expertise, exceptional coordination skills, and the ability to work effectively with contractors, engineering teams, operations, and other stakeholders within a large, multi‑discipline environment.

Key Responsibilities
Construction Oversight
  • Supervise and monitor daily civil, structural, and architectural construction activities.
  • Review construction sequences, work plans, method statements, and pre‑task plans to ensure safety, feasibility, and compliance.
  • Ensure all work follows company standards, regulations, and permit‑to‑work procedures.
Interface & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the company's representative on site, coordinating closely with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Report on progress, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Participate in weekly construction review meetings.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Field Engineering, and QA/QC teams as required.
Completion & Handover Support
  • Support mechanical completion, punch list resolution, commissioning, and start‑up activities.
  • Help develop and maintain construction and completion metrics.
Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement
  • Promote and enforce project safety programmes and participate in incident investigations.
  • Identify construction issues and drive timely resolutions.
  • Apply lessons learned from previous projects and capture new learnings for continuous improvement.
  • Engage with Operations teams to ensure aligned and safe construction execution.
About You
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in major construction projects (civil, structural, fabrication, installation, hook‑up, or completion) within heavy industry, energy, or oil & gas.
  • Experience working with large operating companies, EPC contractors, or major construction firms.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of industry design standards, specifications, and safety criteria.
  • Familiarity with onshore/offshore facilities, fabrication yards, or similar environments.
  • Understanding of construction execution methods and associated risks.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong computer literacy with engineering and office applications.
