GLL is looking for a Concierge at Thornton Heath Leisure Centre in Croydon. If you have a passion for people and the ability to deliver a first-class customer service experience, this is your chance to be part of one of the largest leisure groups in the UK.

As a Concierge, you'll enjoy making a difference to every person who walks through our centres, whether with a warm welcome or by selling memberships to enhance their lifestyle.

Our Customer Service Advisors respond to enquiries and convert them into memberships. Customer Service Advisors are often a customer's first point of contact; you'll answer the phone, handle transactions, address queries, and may participate in outreach projects within the community. Your focus will be on ensuring our customer service levels remain at the highest standard at all times.

What you need:

• A strong focus on customer service
• Passion and personality
• Knowledge of health and safety
• Excellent team player
• Good IT, literacy, numerical, and communication skills
• Some experience in administration

What you’ll do:

• Be the first point of contact for customers
• Answer incoming calls to the centre
• Handle transactions including setting up direct debits and cash handling
• Manage membership enquiries and sell memberships
• Assist with setting up equipment
• Support your team daily by preparing studios, gyms, or sports halls for activities and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the centre
