A major energy provider in Canada is looking for a Compensation Specialist to provide strategic compensation advice, conduct job evaluation projects, and offer data-driven recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources with at least four years of related experience. The position supports a flexible work environment, ensuring competitive compensation practices that align with organizational goals.

Reporting to the Manager Compensation you’ll be at the heart of strategic decision-making, collaborating with senior leaders managers and cross-functional HR teams to shape the future of compensation at FortisBC. You’ll be the go-to expert for job evaluation, job design and salary administration, driving innovative solutions that attract and retain top talent. Within FortisBC’s Total Rewards framework you’ll deliver impactful guidance and data-driven recommendations ensuring our compensation practices remain competitive, equitable and fully aligned with our organizational goals.
In this role you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week) subject to business or operational needs.
