Job summary

Medivet is seeking a Client Care Assistant to be the first contact for client calls and visits, delivering exceptional care for clients, patients, and colleagues. You’ll handle reception duties, triage emergencies, manage the diary, and support online booking.

You’ll bring strong client-facing skills, numeracy, and a calm, flexible approach. Prior veterinary receptionist experience is desirable, and you’ll join a team that values and supports professional development.

Qualifications

• Excellent client-facing care and reception skills.
• Good numeracy and experience with online appointment booking.
• Team player who supports a valued practice.
• Prioritise, remain calm under pressure, flexible and willing to learn.
• Previous veterinary receptionist experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reception duties, greet clients and update records.
• Triage emergency appointments and rearrange as needed.
• Manage the practice diary for optimal booking.
• Answer client phone calls and manage messages.
• Enable online booking by ensuring slots are available.
• Process repeat prescription orders.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team.
• 1 in 4 Saturday shifts at Whitchurch.
• Bank holiday rota to support Shrewsbury 24.
