Job summary

Blue Triangle is a social care organisation in the United Kingdom focusing on empowering people experiencing homelessness by offering safe, supported accommodation and practical/emotional assistance. The role requires registering with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months and ongoing professional learning support.

As a Support Worker you’ll join a team to help people achieve personal outcomes, maintain records, and participate in meetings to review progress.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• Ideally 1 year of experience with vulnerable people (personal/voluntary/professional).
• Commitment to care practice per SSSC code, National Care Standards and relevant policies.
• Ability to relate empathetically and respect clients’ choice and independence.
• Flexible working capability, including lone working.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards SVQ3.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, secure, supported accommodation as part of a team.
• Support, review and document progress using case management systems to achieve person-centred outcomes.
• Maintain records and documentation per policies within required timeframes.
• Plan and facilitate key work meetings and reviews with the person’s support plan.
• Provide advocacy and advice to assist occupants in meeting occupancy conditions.
