Job summary

Central England Coop is seeking a Funeral Advisor to support families through the funeral planning and arranging process across our funeral homes in the region. You will blend empathy with organisation to ensure high standards and trusted relationships with clients.

As a cooperative member, you’ll cover other funeral homes as needed for sickness and holidays and help arrange funerals at client premises when required. DBS checks apply from December 2023 onwards.

Qualifications

• Compassionate nature and active listening to support families during a difficult time.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage sensitive information with care.
• Administration experience and a valid UK driving licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of services offered and help families tailor funeral choices.
• Arrange funerals with attention to detail and cost transparency.
• Clearly communicate arrangements between family and Funeral Director.
• Handle administration with accuracy, sensitivity and care.
• Keep the funeral home clean, secure and compliant with procedures (opening/closing).
• Promote funeral services within the local community and build relationships with partners.
• Build relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, clergy and doctors.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and internal policies and procedures.
