Job summary

Central England Co-operative Limited is seeking a Funeral Advisor to help families at a difficult time, coordinating funeral arrangements with care, empathy and clear communication to ease their burden.

You will travel between local funeral homes, cover duties for sickness and holidays, and build trusted relationships with families, hospitals, clergy and Funeral Directors while maintaining high standards. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles handling sensitive information.
• Ability to manage complex arrangements with accuracy and care.
• Willingness to travel between funeral homes.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of services and personalise funeral wishes.
• Arrange funerals with attention to detail and cost transparency.
• Communicate arrangements between family and Funeral Director.
• Perform administration duties with sensitivity.
• Keep funeral home clean and secure; unlock/lock as required.
• Promote Funeral Services within the local community.
• Build relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, clergy and doctors.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• Daily care checks and preparation of visiting rooms.
