Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Funeral Arranger in Stowmarket to join our Funeralcare team. The role involves building relationships with clients, handling arrangements, and ensuring a respectful, professional environment.

Training is provided, and you’ll work 15 hours per week across Monday and Tuesday. The position supports a compassionate service, with duties including client communication, documentation, and assisting with the care of the deceased as required.

Qualifications

• No prior funeral industry experience required.
• Full training and ongoing support provided.
• Comfort with the physical aspects of the role.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe, and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues as needed.
• Work with digital systems to manage client documents, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Ensure regulated work such as selling funeral plans is referred appropriately.
• Assist with the care and preparation of the deceased as required.
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
