Job summary

The Co-operative Group in Leigh is hiring a Funeral Arranger for 18.75 hours per week. The role includes two shifts: Wednesday 1pm–5pm and Thursday & Friday 9am–5pm at 94 Chapel Street, Leigh. The position involves sensitive care of the deceased, client support, and local community engagement.

Qualifications

• Good communication with clients and colleagues, written and verbal.
• Numerical ability with cash handling, discounts and data entry.
• Attention to detail to follow regulatory processes.
• Comfort with using a range of IT devices and systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients and the community.
• Assist clients in person and by phone, arrange family visits and answer questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming; report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work about funeral plans to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and care of the deceased as required.
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
