Job summary

Co-op is hiring a Funeral Arranger in London (Croydon). This full-time position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, at 154 London Road, Croydon. The role involves preparation, transport and personal care of the deceased with professionalism and respect.

No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training is provided, plus a competitive salary and benefits, including pension and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Strong numerical and basic cash handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe and welcoming, reporting any maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work, like funeral plans, to Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and care of the deceased where required.
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
