Job summary

Co-op is hiring a Funeral Arranger in Stockton Heath for 20 hours per week (Wednesday 12-5, Thursday and Friday 9-5). The role involves preparing, transporting and personally caring for the deceased, with full training provided.

You’ll work in a supportive team, handle client questions, and help families say their goodbyes with dignity. The position emphasizes empathy and meticulous record-keeping, with attention to regulatory policies, and opportunities to grow within Co-op’s funeralcare

Qualifications

• No previous funeral industry experience required; full training provided.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
• Willingness to perform physical aspects of the role with appropriate training.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe, and welcoming; report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
