Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Colton is hiring for a client-facing support role within a funeralcare setting. The role includes assisting families, coordinating visits, and handling documentation with accuracy. Training is provided to ensure professionalism, dignity and adherence to health and safety standards.

You will work closely with colleagues to maintain a compassionate environment, manage invoicing, and handle basic cash and numerical tasks as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role in funeralcare requires empathy, sensitivity and professionalism.
• Good communication skills in writing and speaking with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, and report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work, like selling funeral plans, to Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist in manual handling of coffins and care of the deceased for viewing.
• Enter accurate information in client management systems to keep records up to date.
