Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in the United Kingdom is seeking staff to support clients in making funeral arrangements, both in person and by phone. The roles involve maintaining a calm, respectful environment and handling sensitive duties with care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong numeracy for cash handling and invoicing.
• Empathy, discretion and care when handling the deceased.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone; arrange family visits.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming; report maintenance issues.
• Manage client documentation and invoicing using digital systems.
• Assist in the care and preparation of the deceased as required.
• Refer regulated work related to funeral plans to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
