OurCoop is seeking a compassionate funeral care team member to support families at the scene of bereavement and manage the preparation and presentation of the deceased with dignity. You will join a collaborative team, participate in standby/on-call rosters, and ensure respectful care in challenging moments.

Key duties include acting as a first contact for families, handling the preparation of the deceased (washing/dressing), and coordinating transfers within Society vehicles as needed.

Formación

• Ability to show compassion and empathy to families during bereavement.
• Willingness to follow DBS and safeguarding checks.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer the deceased with care.

Responsabilidades

• Attend the scene of bereavement as the first contact for families.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of the deceased with dignity and respect, including washing and dressing.
• Participate in Standby and On-Call rota as part of responsibilities.
• Assist with transfers of the deceased and work with team colleagues in a family-like unit.
