Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking caring, empathetic staff to deliver person-centred care across supported housing schemes and the local community. You’ll work to individual care plans, promote dignity and independence, and join a supportive Care & Support team based in Newport.

The role is part-time (21 hours/week) with evenings and weekends, possible sleep-ins, and on-call duties. A DBS check is required, and full training is provided to new staff.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
• Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent)
• No previous experience is required - full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support aligned with individual care plans to promote independence and inclusion
• Move and handle residents safely and with care
• Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties and on-call rotas while supporting a team
