To be considered for this role you must hold a Full UK driving licence, however access to your own vehicle is not essential.

The role

You’ll be supporting David, a man who lives independently in his own home in Throop. David communicates verbally using short phrases and also uses PECS cards on a communication board to help plan his day and express his needs and choices. As part of David's dedicated support team, you'll help him enjoy a calm, structured, and meaningful daily life. Activities you may support include:

  • Enjoying peaceful walks around Throop Mill
  • Spending time in the garden, where David loves bouncing on his trampoline or relaxing on the swing
  • Listening to and relaxing with music
  • Supporting weekly family visits, including walks and enjoying an ice cream together

We're always looking for new and creative ways to help David engage with and feel connected to his local community. As a valued member of our team, your role will involve providing meaningful, person‑centred support, including:

  • Assisting with daily routines such as food preparation, shopping, and personal care
  • Supporting David to access the community and take part in activities he enjoys
  • Administering medication where required to support his health and wellbeing

If you're compassionate, patient, and motivated to make a genuine difference, this could be a rewarding opportunity to join our team.
