The Podiatry Service at Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (WCHC) has an exciting opportunity for dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic newly/recently qualified podiatrists to join our committed and friendly team.
As a newly/recently qualified podiatrist you will be supported by our experienced team of podiatrists, podiatry assistants and admin support staff. Together we will build on the experience and knowledge you have already gained to enable you to safely assess and treat a wide range of complex podiatry conditions for patients with a variety of other clinical needs, including: acute or chronic, neuropathies, chronic diseases, vascular problems, wound management and nail surgery.
WCHC is an innovative and forward-thinking organisation. We work closely with our local acute Trust to support their high-risk diabetic out-patient clinics and there will be opportunities to shadow and develop your skills in this area. We also manufacture our own insoles using state of the art CAD-CAM technology and pressure mapping technology as well as developing new pathways and services to improve patient experience and outcomes.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a podiatrist (or on qualification), you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with GPs and other healthcare professionals. Good IT skills are essential as the role requires working across a range of clinical systems.
We will provide a fully structured induction programme and we actively support CPD and personal development for all staff and we will provide opportunities to develop within the role.
The Podiatry Service is delivered from a number of community clinics, GP practices as well as nursing homes and domiciliary settings across Wirral, therefore you must have access to your own transport for work purposes.
Wirral has excellent transport links to North Wales, Liverpool, Manchester, as well as the historic city of Chester.
