Are you a qualified or newly qualified nurse looking to take a new step in your nursing career? Staff Nurses work as part of a team providing high quality and compassionate care to individuals. The Staff Nurse is an autonomous practitioner who is responsible for a holistic assessment of both complex and simple care needs, for the development, implementation and evaluation of care and for delegation of care where appropriate to other members of the team. They will support the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high quality care to enable individuals to achieve their person‑centred goals. We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised.
There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include evenings and weekends. We have full‑time and part‑time hours available. You will require good communication skills, a team‑work approach and be able to provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

We will provide and maintain a high standard of evidence‑based, patient‑centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whilst reflecting the philosophy of care, you will deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department.
The role requires a multi‑disciplinary approach to patient‑centred care delivery, built on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trust’s patient and public involvement strategy.
Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient‑centred, evidence‑based nursing care.
