A charitable organization supporting recovery in the North East is seeking a committed and practising Christian to lead spiritual programmes that aid those affected by addiction. The role requires strong community engagement, worship leadership, and the ability to develop effective partnerships. Candidates must demonstrate experience in creating community spiritual programmes and be adept in pastoral care. A passion for helping others and a track record in this field are essential. The role offers 35 hours per week with benefits including annual leave and a pension scheme.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sanctuary 21s to support the Mission Development Plan, with its focus on growing a Core Recovery expression of the Salvation Army in Durham. It will involve working with the community, building positive relationships, developing a team to accompany those in recovery and affected by addiction; and sharing faith in culturally appropriate ways. The role will require a sense of vision, purpose and creativity.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
